QuoteFast is available on the web and as an iPhone app. In both, your quotes stay on your own device and there are no accounts. Jump to the web app or the iPhone app.
The web app
Your quotes stay in your browser
Everything you enter — quotes, clients, prices, your business details and logo — is stored in your browser's local storage on the device you used. It is not sent to us, and we have no servers holding it. There is nothing for us to look at even if we wanted to.
What that means for you
Your data does not follow you to another phone or computer, and clearing your browser data (or removing the installed web app) deletes it. Keep a PDF of anything you need to keep.
What we collect
We use Vercel Analytics to count page views and see which screens people use. It is cookieless and aggregated. Before anything is sent, quote and client identifiers and any query string are removed from the page address, so it records which screen was used and nothing about whose data was on it. No names, email addresses or quote contents are sent.
Third parties
The site is hosted by Vercel, who process technical request data such as IP addresses in order to serve the pages, as any web host does. Fonts are served from our own domain, so no request is made to Google or any other third party while you use the app.
The iPhone app
Your data stays on your device
Quotes, line items, clients, your price book, templates and your business details are stored in the app's own database on your iPhone. The app has no account and makes no network requests of its own, so none of it is sent to us or to anyone else.
Contacts
If you import a client from your contacts, iOS shows its own contact picker and gives the app only the one contact you choose. The app copies that person's name, address, phone and email into your client list on the device. It cannot see the rest of your contacts.
Photos
If you add a business logo, iOS shows its own photo picker and gives the app only the image you choose. It is stored on the device and printed on your quotes.
Widgets and notifications
The home and lock screen widgets show pipeline totals. To do that, the app keeps a small summary — totals, counts and the newest quote's number and client name — in storage that only QuoteFast and its widgets can read, on your device. Reminders are local notifications scheduled on the device; they are not sent through any server.
Sharing a quote
When you share a quote or its PDF, you choose where it goes through the iOS share sheet. Whatever app you send it to handles it under its own privacy terms. Your private margin figures are never included in a shared quote.
Purchases
QuoteFast Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never see your payment details, name or Apple ID. The app checks your subscription with Apple on the device.
No tracking, no analytics
The iPhone app contains no analytics, no advertising and no third-party code that collects data. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Deleting your data
Settings → Delete all data removes everything the app has stored, including your business and bank details. Deleting the app does the same. We hold no copy, so it cannot be recovered.
Both apps
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have rights over personal data we hold about you. In practice we hold none: we have no account for you and no copy of your quotes. If you believe otherwise, or you have any question about this page, email girderlabs@outlook.com.
Changes
Accounts and backup are planned. We will update this page before any feature sends your data off your device, and the app will tell you before it does.
